Life doesnt seem too hard for her
Just another girl at school
On the outside she looks happy and bright
Her smiles calm and cool
Shes quiet in class; gets good grades
And sings in the school choir
Something long, not showing her skin
Is always her attire
She looks so sweet that all the girls
Envy her innocence
The boys dont even notice her
But theyre still people shell miss
As she rests in the park on her favorite swing
A group of girls walk by
She listens in to what they say
Trying not to cry
Running home, she holds back her tears
Until she enters her room
Locking the door, the tears fall down
While angst and sadness loom
The room is white and pure inside
Causing much alarm
Theres nothing that can ease the pain
Or cause her any harm
Thats around the time that I came in
And saw her on her bed
Truth be told, I wasnt sure
If she was alive or dead
She looks up with bruises on her form
Her arms are wrapped real tight
I hold her close, I hear her cry
I said Id stay the night
Her head is full of petty things
That with time were left and lost
She believes in things like modesty
But her sanity is the cost
Filling her head with these misplaced rules
Has made her give away
So I sit and hold the broken form
Of what she is today

And alien tears will fill for him
Pity's long-broken urn,
For his mourners will be outcast men,
And outcasts always mourn. The Ballad of Reading Gaol, Oscar Wilde
But I love it. As always. So sad, but I got a mental image.
